Orchard Farm at Build it Live

If you’re keen to find out more about the first sustainable self-built community in Kent, meet us at Build it Live at the Kent Event Centre near Maidstone, on Saturday 24 th and Sunday 25 th of February. There’s also the opportunity to meet a variety of other exhibitors who can help inspire your self-build journey, from architects and financial advisers to designers and builders of timber frame houses and heat pump advisers.

What you can expect

The Orchard Farm team will be at stand C31 to show you the layout of the plots and how the landscape will look around the plots and across the site. 18 plots in Phase One have been released and are available for pre-reservation. You will be able to discuss the Plot Passports that illustrate what can be built and the plot and build costs.

The team can guide you through the steps to self-build at Orchard Farm and it will also be possible to book a free on-line consultation with Orchard Farm’s architect. They will explain in detail the process that’s involved in designing and building a house at Orchard Farm. They’ll create a brief for your project which you can then take to an architect of your choice. It will include the spaces you need, the architectural features and external and internal style you like, construction methods and sustainability and an estimated cost for the build of your house.

Customer Guide, Hannah Adams and Managing Director, Adam Roake will be giving a short presentation about self-building at Orchard Farm at 13.30 on Sunday.
